NimbeLink, a global leader in embedded cellular modem technology and asset tracking solutions, has introduced the patented Skywire® LTE CAT 1 embedded modem based on the Sierra Wireless LTE CAT 1 module. Like all modems in the Skywire family, the LTE CAT 1 modem is end-device certified and compatible with a variety of NimbeLink development kits, adapters, and microprocessor capes. This modem is designed for deployment within the U.S., and it enables Firmware-Over-The-Air (FOTA) management through Sierra Wireless AirVantage.
All Skywire modems are small, pin-compatible, and end-device certified, which enables easy integration with no further carrier testing requirements. This time-to-market advantage allows developers to quickly design-in connectivity to cellular networks around the world. All Skywire modems are patented and are backed by industry-leading documentation and expert-level product support.
