The Assured Wireless AW12 family of high power LTE modems utilize our patented HPUE (High Power User Equipment) technology to provide significantly enhanced LTE range, coverage, and data speeds. The AW12 USB modem is certified as FirstNet-ready and meets all 3GPP and FCC requirements as both a Power Class 1 (HPUE) device on LTE Band 14 and as a Power Class 3 (standard power) device on other AT&T bands. It operates as a CAT12 device with data rates up to 600 Mb/s download and 150 Mb/s upload.

The companion AW12-EI and USB-to-Ethernet Converter provides seamless integration of the AW12 USB modem with standard Ethernet-connected routers, gateways, and switches. To assure a high-speed connection to associated LAN devices, a Gigabit Ethernet connection is provided that also includes Type 2 PoE capability to power the unit and associated AW12 from the LAN. Alternatively, the unit includes enhanced power conditioning to operate from 9V to 36V DC sources to assure operation even in the most demanding vehicular environments.

Ignition- and sleep-sensing and sleep mode capabilities are provided to assure that the unit and associated AW12 seamlessly operate in tandem with the user’s routers and gateways. The AW12-EI also provides enhanced diagnostic capabilities using a multicolor LED indicator lamp to assess the condition of the unit, the associated AW12 device, and the wireless network connection.

A ruggedized mounting plate is available to mount the AW12-EI side-by-side with the AW12 USB modem.
